Abstract. Information is presented about the deceased Dr Sci Phys&Math, Professor Henri Amvrosievich Rukhadze - twice laureate of the State Prizes of the USSR and the Prize M.V. Lomonosov 1 degree (MSU), Honored Scientist of Russia, Chief Research Fellow of the Theoretical Division of the Prokhorov General Physics Institute of RAS, Professor of Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU), Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (MEPhI), academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and the Prokhorov Engineering Academy, an outstanding specialist with a world-wide name in the field of electrodynamics of material media, plasma physics and plasma electronics: basic biographical data, training at the Tbilisi School and Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, postgraduate studies and work at Lebedev PI, Prokhorov GPI of RAS, leading the sector of plasma electronics and the theoretical department of GPI, hundreds of graduate students, dozens of graduate students and doctoral candidates, the authorship of hundreds of scientific papers, dozens of reviews, monographs, textbooks, and memoirs, editorial in scientific journals, membership in several academies of science, criticism of the fight against pseudoscience, state awards.
