VACUUMLESS DEFECTS IN THE RANDALL-SUNDRUM MODELS

We investigate linearized gravity in the Randall-Sundrum models with the so-called vacuumless defect (cosmic string or global monopole) imbedded into the brane. We consider Randall-Sundrum model with one brane (RS2), unstabilized model with two branes (RS1) and the model stabilized by the Brans-Dicke field. Our results are applied for the investigation of the peculiarities of topological self-action effects on a point charge held near defect which are induced by the extra dimension.
